day five: whitefish tacos

After a long day in the scorching sun and intense humidity we needed something crisp and fresh for dinner. At the market we bought some sustainable whitefish from Fisherfolk and my husband decided to make tacos. We wrapped our guacamole, coleslaw, salsa and jalapeno-lime whitefish in iceberg lettuce. The crispness of the lettuce was perfect and I can truthfully say I didn't miss a corn taco shell. We devoured Mad Mexican's smoky salsa and plan to stock this in our fridge all of the time.
